Call me crazy...but what if USF built an on-campus stadium (along with new dorms, residences, etc...) on the same property as USF's The Claw Golf Course??

Believe USF already "owns" the property The Claw sits on.

Trade a good (not great) golf course for an on-campus stadium and new residence/village complex?

Thoughts? Comments?

PS. Many schools build nice clubhouses for their golf team at near-by resort/country club golf courses to house their golf teams.

I loved that golf course when I was a student.  I didn't have a lot of money and being able to walk for $10 really let me keep playing golf through the expensive winter months.  THat being said, I think putting residence in that area is a great idea.  USF campus is a bit to boxy, and expaning it out that way would be nice.  I don't think the golf team even uses that course as their main practice course.  I know I couldn't hit any fairway wood of the range for fear of carrying the net, so I imagine most the golf team can't even hit low irons.

I don't think a stadium can go there for the reasons mentioned before.
