The way I see it, we might be ranked #25 when the season begins. I base this upon the "I Called It" factor that sportswriters so love. Everyone wants to be able to have called the sleeper/darkhorse team that surpasses expectations and shocks the nation. In order to do that, these writers have to vote us into the top 25.

Not a big fan of preseason polls...but one good thing to come out of it would be the venom for us spewing from Tallahasee and Coral gables. Two state teams ranked and Miami and FSU are not among them? Wow. Many of us dreamed of this day....

I will believe it when AP and coaches ranks it this way!

Beat or keep it close with Auburn, get blown out and respect goes down the tubes initially.

Interesting that Rutgers continues to be ranked around 15 in all the polls. I believe WVU and UL are justified in their preseason expectations (as well as USF), but I really do not see Rutgers being a top 15 team. Just too many graduations. One year does not create tradition.

Some people would say the same thing about us.  Just because of our first bowl win and Grothe doesn't mean that we deserve what we are getting.

Just showing you that there are indeed two sides to every coin, even the one in our own pocket.

I for one think we can wipe the floor with those New Jersey-ites...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
