Baseball Team Drops Another One

Another tough night for the baseball team.  UCF wins 11-5 to salvage one game out of three against USF.  The Bulls are now 2-7 in their last nine games.  Not exactly a good time to start playing bad.  From the looks of it our pitching isn't as deep as it once was, while the hitting hasn't been as timely either.  

We have 3 huge games this weekend against Louisville that will go a long way in determining where we can finish in the conference.  Right now we are in 6th place.  Big East tourney only accepts 8 teams, so we are on the verge of possibly not making the tourney.  Time to put these games behind us and get a win.  Its imperative that Danny O gives us a quality start on Friday as the past two games we've been into the bullpen early.

i just hope they can finish strong and build some momentum heading into next season.  had a few more solid recruits and dominate the big east next season.

Sounds like the "new coach shine" is coming off... fun while it lasted, but now it's time to get to work. Not worried at all long-term.

It got heated on and off the field last night. In the middle inning Dex took out their shortstop with what UCF felt was a cheap play. To me it looked like a clean slide. A few innings later they tried to hit him, and missed twice, leading Maruzak to say this classic, " If you are going to hit him, ******* hit him."

There was than about a 5 minute delay as the UCF coach (Danny Devito) came out to argue, then Prado came out, and about half the Bulls came out of the dug out.

The UCF fans got a little vocal, and when USF started giving it back one of the older UCF fans called stadium security. They really have no balls. They talk crap all game then cry when USF starts brining up BCS and sloppy seconds.

The fags in the infamous picture where in attendence, not wearing their cap, but a shirt that read "bowl bound knights".

The stadium looks like a stalliete dish. High school bleachers at their finest.

He called security because one of our fans said something really inappropriate.  We had to leave in the 8th, because I didn't want my 11 year-old son to hear that crap!!  The smack talk was fine until that point.

A male UCF fan was talking smack and he replied, "I can't hear you, take your boyfriend's c**k out of your mouth."  Then when the older man took offense and said that he could get ejected, he replied, "Who's going to do it?  You?"

We left right after that.

Great...smack talk is fun...but keep it clean at least when kids are around.

Glad I left in the top of the 7th...had no idea it came to that.  When I found out we were giving a pitcher with a 14+ ERA his first start, I sensed we might have some problems.  Giving up 8 runs in one inning proved that to be true.  The reliever (Wags) who came in has a 10+ ERA.  Think Lelo might have been saving the good pitchers for the 'Ville?  You gotta win the conference games.  Period.  Pride or whatever with the UCF game...not an issue, I suppose.  As a fan though...it was pretty embarrassing to lose to that classless bunch of clowns while their fans are feeling like the Knights "turned the corner".  Sorry UCF...not true.  Bottom line...2007 series....USF - 2, UCF - 1.  Consider yourselves fortunate for that 1 too.
