So where is USF football compared to this?

Alabama draws 92,000 for Saban's first spring game

How long is it going to take for USF football to crack at such a crazy number? They must not have anything to do in Alabama.

It isn't about wins and losses, is it? How did they do for spring when baby Shula was there?

Yes, its about wins and losses. 12 National Championships.  4 losses in a row to Auburn. A new coach that brings in a new sense of optimism and hope for another championship in the near future.

USF may never get that many... but it will take at least 50-60 years to build that kind of fan base.

Just saw this on ESPN... their previous record was a little over 51,000. So, 92,000 was huge even for them.... ESPN reported they had to turn people away.

most of their fans probably thought it was a real game and spent months tryiing to scout the opponent, only to find out that white is not an acutal ivy league school

Also many like South Carolina had concerts as part of the game. So its not just th game but a big fair type atmosphere.

South Carolina had Hootie and the Blowfish, I seriously doubt their presence was that big of a factor, they probably would have still drawn 25-30,000.

It has nothing to do with the "they have nothing to do" and everything to do with they "live and die by their football team."  It woudn't shock me if some people skipped weddings or other events for the freaking game, they're just THAT committed
