I think it's a good idea to go over the 10-year plan again and for us to email our comments and opinions on the matter. Anyone have a link to the 10-year plan?

Tuitin to low???

what a freakin joke.

College debt for recent graduates has NEVER been higher.

I hope they fight this bull-crap increase in fees.  Tution has increased at an uptick of more then 9% on average year over  year.

If they aren't hitting you with a "activity fee" - or some other stupid fee -- they are nickle and dime-ing you somewhere else.

If the universities need more money then the state should figure out how to raise it through general revenue.

Stop saddling kids with thousands of dollars in more debt in the name of "better faculty."

This is one of the few issues that I actually like Charlie Crist over.

FIGHT this bullcrap 1k dollar increase with all you got Gov. Crist.

The fact that college is very affordable in Florida is one of this state's best attributes.

Now you got boneheads like Meachen wanted to raise tuition by over 50%...

Get a life Bernie..

A thousand dollar fee increase.  What a freakin joke.  If you want to raise tuition -- raise the out of state tuituion.

If you have my idea -- i don't think tuition should ever be allowed to be raise at anything more then twice the rate of inflation...

This bone head wants to raise it by upwards of 50%.

1. the state cant afford to keep tuition as low as it is. they need to raise it a little bit (not a lot - just a little) - lets not freak out people. Out state is one of the fastest growing states in the US. Bright Futures at this rate wont be around much longer until something is done.

2. We should also raise out of state tuition

3. Graduate Students should have their tuition covered (that is -- if they are working as full time graduate students - PhD candidates at most other R1 schools have tuition covered ro are given in-state tuition and full benefits). regular graduate students (i.e. MBAs, Med School people, etc...) should pay like everyone else.

4. And finally - I agree with you over the "better faculty" issue- problem is - USF hardly practices what it preaches. We have the highest faculty turnover in the state practically. They come, they leave. We need to attract quality profs AND learn how to keep them.

5. maybe if we didnt keep building branch campuses and spending 100s of millions of dollars so that every commuter and their mother didnt have to drive an extra 40 minutes - we would be able to invest in our own infrastructure and not have to hike tuition to pay for things. Branch campuses are nice but should be considered an extra- the main campus should be the priority.  We should only invest in building branch campuses when the main campus's needs are met. Until that happens.....

I think tuition doesn't need to be raised.

I am as liberal as they come and I think tuition should actually be CUT!...

imagine that..

I don't think a semester at USF should cost more than a 1K dollars.

call be a dreamer i guess.
