Chin told me today he's 6-7, 195, and his HS coach said he's a "true 6-7." When I was on the sidelines Saturday night, just ballparking him based on other people around him, I was thinking 6-6. He has a similar body type to Mattis or Saaka -- lean and long. HS coach said Chin has a frame that can add some weight, said he could easily get up to 210 or so before season starts.

Somebody get that kid a cheeseburger!

Guest BasketBull.
we only have 2 schollies to work with.

JUCO! JUCO!

An incoming freshman (big man) is not going to be able hang with the nasty dudes in the Big East.

Maybe Coach will be able to steal one or two from some other program.

Man, look at our roster, we are VERY young...

I wish Gransberry has a couple more years.

that makes it even more important to land 2 solid big men. it aint like he can "miss" with these 2 scholarships. if he does, we're screwed for the next TWO years.

I have a feeling at least one current scholarship player might be sent packing.

just my opinion.

Greg, is there any way in hell we have a chance at Jason Bennet if he decides to transfer?

and I think the main ones that have to show Coach Heath something this summer are verdejo and cann.

I think verdejo will actually benefit from an up and down game like Heath plays, cann i think is on shaky ground

Cann is the only one with some meat on his bones to back up KG. I sure hope he can come all the way back.

Guest BasketBull.

Cann a little short to play center. We need someone who is 6-10 and about 235-250.

If we are going to play an up-tempo game, there is no way big Gransberry is going to play 40 mins.

I have faith in our new staff.

Q: Can we make the Big East next year?

Gransberry is a little short to play center, but he's doing it.

Cann would be a forward.  Our only other forward is... um... hold on, i'll figure it out... oh wait, none.  Aris is our back up center and can play forward  (if he is healthy).

Cann is as close to a power forward that we have.  He is 6'6, 245.  He is normally a small forward, so it isn't that big of a leap.

I don't see anyone being given the boot.

Not one.
