Spotlighted Coach Heath and his wife at the game last night and welcomed him to Tampa. I was pleasantly surprised at the pretty good round of applause he got... Very encouraging.

Where you at the game? I was expecting to be one of the handfulls clapping, but I would say 80% of the crowd cheered, and of those 80%, 20% stood up (one being me).

I was expecting the same thing. Didn't notice anyone standing up, though, but that's pretty cool that some did. Did see some USF hats later on so maybe we are slowly making inroads ....

O/T, I did see a Corey Dillon Patriots football jersey there last night ............ wtf??   :-/

That is great the he was recognized at the Times Forum during the game last night! I'm glad to see that the community is embracing him and making him feel welcome.

Triple B: I think seeing "random" fans pisses me off more than anything that anyone does at sporting events. I.E. the last Lightning game i went to against the FLA Panthers, I was sitting right next to a guy with a Colorado Avalanche jersey on....wtf??

Maybe he likes hockey and is an Avalanche fan, obviously cant make their games regularly. I see nothing wrong. I was invited by friends to Vtech-Miami basketball game here in Miami and wore my green n gold and USF hat. Even Seth noticed it. LOL

Those two scenarios make sense because you're at a game of the type jersey/hat you're wearing. Wearing a football jersey to a hockey game between two teams that have nothing to do with the city of the football team represented seems lame. Dude did have pretty expensive seats, though ... maybe it was Robert Kraft. He still owns the Pats, right?... Heck, could have been Dillon himself. He's got a lot of time on his hands now.

Impressed that that many people care about USF basketball in a non-USF atmosphere. Maybe it really isn't apathy, just wariness.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
