Based on the current roster and the spring game performance, who would you draft from our team as "your 5 players"?

C'mon, play along and explain why you'd choose the players!

Matt Grothe, George Selvie, Chris Robinson, Taurus Johnson and Ben Moffit

I wouldn't need the Spring Game to tell me that.

1. Matt Grothe: best player on the field on game day. Period.

2. Ben Moffitt: skills, experience and leadership

3. Mike Jenkins: defensive playmaker

4. Amarri Jackson: He makes things happen on offense.

5. Mike Ford: he runs through people.

I can appreciate the thought on Mike Ford...but the guy has yet to play a down, so logically I can't include him. Amarri can be All-World at times...but there are plenty of games where you wonder whether he was even on the field.

When you say draft choices, I'll assume you mean NFL draft?

My 5:

1) George Selvie: Big George is just a stud. There's rarely a time when he isn't in the backfield causing havoc.

2) Chris Robinson: If ever we wanted a playmaker on defense, he's it. Last year he broke out, and at the spring game he was just toying with the offense.

3) Mike Jenkins: This guys has a definite future as a 6ft CB. He's always around the ball and will make someone's team on special team skills alone.

4) Trae Williams - not sure how he ended, but lead Big East in INT's for a while last year. He has ridiculous speed.

5) Matt Grothe - He's a superstar on our squad, and has a couple years of eligibility left. At this point he could be an intriguing developmental prospect, with awesome potential...but not sure that he's as big as these draft gurus like in the prototype QB. If he continues to give us youtube highlights with consistency, the kid has a great future.

Some guys "right there":

Ben Moffitt - leader of the defense now...but didn't think he was as impressive as Nicholas last year. We'll find out soon.

Taurus Johnson - I LOVE that we have finally have a vocal guy on offense. Sure it's brash to declare victory...but it's about time we have a guy with the fire to say it and the skills to back it up. He'll be our most consistent receiver this year and has great measurables with room to grow.
