still scares the sh%t out of me.

we ended the year with big questions at RB, Oline and the kicking game

the kicking game is still way suspect...with out that being solid we will struggle this year.

To put things in perspective, at the previous weekend's scrimmage the kickers hit all but one kick, including a 56/57 yarder by Alvarado...and if I remember correctly, they were facing a rush.

On the other hand, Petrov's punting in the face of a rush was awful.

Alvarado will be our kicker, they just need to let his foot/ankle heal so it's not a reoccuring problem.

what gets me is that you see some DII schools with a great kicking game. USF is in a great location, its a good school (not great but pretty good), nice facilities and a great coach (not to mention we are DI and in the BE)

You mean to tell me we can't attract at least ONE guy that can kick!?!?!?  Drove me crazy last year. Will drive me crazy again this year. sigh...

I know - its VERY good.  :) I got a great education there. Hey out of 12 public universities - its probably 2nd and in some cases 1st. That makes me very proud. But its not exactly Ivy League. But hey, I wouldn't want that either. All the kids I knew growing up that went to the Ivies are major screw ups.  ;D

But even the ivies have kickers...I mean SERIOUSLY people!

and by the way chi town - isnt the weather outside fabulous today!!!!!  ;D thought about going out to the lake.... but even so, the lake is no Gulf. I miss Tampa  :-/

I forgot to mention that we also have 3 top ranked programs: Education (49), Communication Studies  (10) and Psychology (6 or 7) - plus a kick A$$ location AND a great football program.

So take that ivy league.  ;)

(and someone send us a kicker!!!)
