Baseball: By the Numbers

Just wanted to provide an update on how the baseball team, and the Big East, stands nationally.

Our conference RPI is ranked 14 out of 31 conferences, right between the Atlantic Sun and Southland conferences.  Not bad, but not great either:

Tuscan Regional

3-USF (Big East at large)

Corvallis Regional

3-Louisville (Big East at large)

Tempe Regional

4-Rutgers (Big East automatic)

So it appears that USF and Louisville have a decent shot at getting an at-large bid as things currently stand.  Any other team is going to need the at-large bid to make the field (as is the case with Rutgers).

Hopefully we can pick up another W at home tonight against UCF...Go Bulls!  8-)

We just need to keep winning, especially with the conference race as tight as it is right now.  Losing 2/3 at Nova was rough.  Needed to win that series.  But gotta put it behind us and take care of UCF starting tonight, then we'll worry about Rutgers.

The 3 most important series of the season are coming up and we MUST win the Rutgers series first and foremost. They are on fire right now and we need to douse them this weekend.

We need to get everyone out there for at least one game this series to support the team!! We need to create a home field advantage and kill all knights this whole week. We should not descriminate any color of knights.
