The Oracle on Mike Ford

The Oracle Blog still doesn't show Stan Heath as Coach.  There is a poll on there asking who you would like to coach the team.  Also, right underneath is an article about Mike Jarvis being a candidate.  

Is it asking too much for someone over there to change this?

JoeB, unfortunately it is at a school with such little care for our Athletics programs.

Ford can have a definite impact. If nothing else..having him at No.1, makes Ponton and Williams two of the best backups in the conference at No. 2 and 3. (And that's assuming they hold off Samuels who looked pretty good as well.)

I think that it's a no-brainer that  Ford will be our eventual starter there. His talent is evident, let's just keep him going to class and out of trouble. Having said that, it would not SHOCK me if Leavitt brought him off the bench for our first two games, especially considering that there are some experienced options this year. I'm sure CJL will think long and hard about starting the Auburn game with a guy who has been away from the game for a while and essentially is a freshman. The spring game showed little of his ability to block and run proper routes; which is vital if we want Grothe to remain upright and still be in the Auburn game going into the 2nd quarter.

No doubt he'll play alot...but it wouldn't surprise me if Ford wasn't the starter until after that game. We're more likely to start Williams or Ponton until then.
