Being from Jacksonville, where Arlington Country Day is located, allows me to say that any player we can recruit from that school is going to be a good player. I talk to my friend Brian Hoff (plays for FSU currently) regularly and I just asked him what he thought about us hiring Stan Heath as coach, his response was "Stan Heath has always been cool with the ACD coaches so I've met him a couple times. From all accounts he's a good guy and I dont know why Arkansas let him go." This means Stan Heath, while at Arkansas, was regularly visiting this school to get recruits, just think what he'll do now living in Tampa.

Brian also said that his former teammate and friend Aaron Holmes is a terrific scorer and will most certainly improve our team alot this year. On a side note, Aaron is supposedly an awesome dancer and I've been told to ask him to dance if I ever see him around! haha

This kid isn't very good, I did filming for a recruiting website when he was at Arlington Country Day. He relied all on his height vs. much smaller kids.

He has no offensive game, he's a soft rebounder, and while he can block shots VERY well, he was also juked out of his shoes several times.

I cannot compare him to Hibbert or Gray, both showed signs of consistency in HS, this kid was more of the Shawn Bradley type.

He was very interest in UF, but Billy Donovan pulled the offer from what I remember. I think his accolades come compeletly from his height.

I'd take him if the scholarship is out there and no one is available because "you can't teach height" but as a fan, I'm not sure he'll ever develop into anything that USF could hang their coatails on.

If Burnell was the one working with Sol, McHugh and KG, and he stays, I'd love to see what he could do with someone like this.

I agree... he has done well with our big men.  I would love to finally have a 7 footer.  We haven't had a true 7 footer since Frederico Peruzzo (and you think this kid is soft out of HS... Peruzzo never stepped in the key while at USF ).

I would take him, I'm just stating that he really is being touted for his potential based merely on height.

Shagri Alleyne was -7'3" - 7'4" and was receiving national accolades (especially after his HS beat Lebron James and St. Vincent-St. Mary). He was good in HS because he was a giant, not because he was skilled. And a lot of his potential was based on his height.

I see Bennett being similar. He could be a solid role player, but I really just don't see anything else out of him unless he drastically changes his game. He struggled scoring in HS...much less the Big East.
