FSU needs football game for 2006

I think USF is in a much better position to get a game [or series] with FSU now then it was previously. The new reality is that USF will be in a BCS conference, whether FSU likes it or not, and that means we will be vying for the same recruits. FSU might therefore just as well play us in Tampa early on when they have a much better chance of winning and secure their position with the local recruits. As it is, we already signed many of the Top players in the Tampa area this year:

Among those to sign National Letters of Intent are four of the top seven and six of the top 13 high school players in the Tampa Bay area according to the St. Petersburg Times and eight of the top 68 prospects in the state according to the Orlando Sentinel...

Buie (2nd), Peyton (4th) and Griffin (6th) are joined by Ricky Ponton (7th), Mike Williams (12th) and George Kearse (13th) among those to sign with USF off of the Times’ Best of the Bay Area list. The Times’ list did not include the Sarasota-Manatee area which surely would have added Terrance Jones and C.J. Hunnicutt to USF recruits among the top 10.

I'd offer enough of a payout that we would only break even on the game.  Let them have all profits that day just for giving us the opportunity to pull the upset of a lifetime and get our name on the map!

I'm sure that's something they're dying to do, because we all know how much they need the money (sarcasm) and would love to give us a chance to upset them (sarcasm)
