As usual around here, some people are jumping to conclusions without knowing what is happening behind the scenes.  there is obviosuly more to the story than we'll probably ever know.  It could be as simple as a poor grades or he could be in Leavitt's doghouse for something else.

I don't think that Hill missing a couple of practices in the spring means too much other than he pissed Leavitt off.  Last year the team didn't have practice on the Thursday or Friday before the spring game.  If that's the same schedule this year it means he will have missed a whopping two practices and the game which is really nothing more than a controlled scrimmage anyway.  Not a big deal to me.  if it was the fall it's another story.

I think as a coach you have to be pissed at seeing someone celebrate like that in a practice when from the reports the WRs have not beeing doing a great job at hanging on to the ball. As a coach that + the celebration would seem to show a lack of focus on whats important.

Last I checked CJL is the coach of this team and makes personnel decisions. Thankfully Herman and PitBull haave no say in the situation. I bet the two of you would have kicked Williams and Jenkins off the team for their minor transgression. Try not to jump to conclusions without your jump to conclusions mat.  ;)

obviously he is has a sense of humor, kind of like Amarri so many were so quick to defend.

im still trying to figure out how some love amari jackson when he holds his nuts to usf, because he had 1 good louisville game and we are so quick to throw amp lee under the bus for a stunt in practice, because he droppped a 2 pt conversion. I wonder if LSu would even take a glance at Amarri coming out of high school.

I agree.. Amarri is good, but is he better than Amp?  Seems like Leavitt isn't using Amp to his full potential.  Hill was a stud coming out of high school, moreso than Amarri.  Is he not in the good ol' boy network of CJL?  This makes me worry if Tyrone McKenzie will get any playing time.

No comparison with Mckenzie in any way.  Amp Hill was coming off a devestating knee injury last year.  There should not have been huge expecations of him last year in the first place.  I am sure the expectations this year for him are quite a bit higher.

McKenzie is already a proven player at the D1 level.  Don't worry about him not getting playing time.  He just needs to learn Wally's system.

Coming out of high school, Amp had the potential to be an all american.

Even now after two major knee injuries and numerous minor health problems, he can be a good possession type reciever.  However, there's no question that hes nowhere near the player he could have been had he stayed healthy.
