Amp Hill sitting out Spring Game...

        Jim Leavitt said Tuesday that reciever Amp Hill will not participate in this Saturday's Spring Game.  During this past Saturday's scrimmage, Hill caught a five yard touchdown pass from Quaterback Grant Gregory and then proceeded to pull a sharpie out of his sock and pretend to sign the ball, reenacting Dallas Cowboys Terrell Owens famous autographing a ball after a touchdown.  

        "It wasnt the right thing to do", Leavitt said Tuesday. "He's not going to practice anymore ....and let him focus on school. It was innapropriate and I wanted to make it clear how innapropriate it was."  

         Hill, who transferred from LSU in 2005, had 19 catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns.

Amp  F****d  Up thats for sure.  Hopefully he'll use this time off to his benefit, and not have it be more of an issue than it already is.  His 19 receptions last year are easily replaceable in my book.  Basically its 1.5 catches per game.  I'm sure Colby Erskin can pick up his slack.

Are Mike Jenkins and Carlton Williams sitting out of the spring game?  Amp Hill whips out a sharpie during practice and sits out of the spring game... Jenkins and Williams get ARRESTED and are home free.  Seems to me like favoritism and a double standard.

No they aren't. But you dont have all the facts.

I'd be willing to bet that Amp's act fits with his general persona, while the arrests were out of character for two high class guys.

Think Amp could have been thinking of how he was going to celebrate in the Rutgers drop instead of catching the pass?

Exactly right.  I would hope Amp did something else besides have fun in PRACTICE.  

I dont see how 2 guys who get arrested are allowed to play and a guy fooling has to sit out.  Double standard indeed.

but you guys are right, since he dropped that 2 pt conversion in a game we let up 200+ rushing yards, screw him, we dont need him.
