10. Sharpiegate! Entrepid correspondent Mike Camunas reported Saturday about receiver Amp Hill doing an awkward Terrell Owens impersonation, pulling out a Sharpie from his sock after catching a touchdown pass in Saturday's scrimmage. The celebration isn't sitting well with Leavitt, who said Tuesday that he'll hold Hill out of the rest of spring drills, including Saturday's game.

"Wasn't the right thing to do," Leavitt said. "He's not going to practice anymore this spring. We're going to let him focus on school. He will not (play). It was inappropriate, and I want to be very clear how inappropriate it was. ... It's uncharacteristic of our program."

It will seem odd that Mike Jenkins and Carlton Williams, just a few weeks from their late-night arrests, are playing Saturday and Hill isn't, but Leavitt said there are other things that led to his decision.

wonder what else led to this decision...grades?

After he dropped the 2 pt conversion against Rutgers, he should have been on 1st flight back to Baton Rouge.

Amp was not the reason we lost that game. That was a play that happened in 3 seconds. What about the rest of the 59 mins and 57 seconds that we played? We gave way toooo many yards to rice.

Actually no time went off the clock for that play since it was a point after play.  Grothe seemed to have a pretty big fumble if I recall that nobody brings up.

Why does Hill (or anybody for that matter) need to showboat (even in practice?)  Makes him look like he's not a team player...  I think if you understand and stick by CJL's rules, he'll take you far. If not, you don't need to be on the team anyway.

Just reminds me of that ***** pitt player who flicked off the endzone last year...  unprofessional and stupid.

That was really a stupid play by the Pitt player.  They would have certainly had a better chance of getting two from the 3 yard line, instead it was brought back 15 yards essentially ending any 2 point conversion attempt.

I'll bet we've seen the last of Amp... call it a hunch.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
