Ranked teams being who and how high?  Aren't you in with the likes of The Citadel, Furman, and Georgia Southern?

I think the last time we beat you guys was back in '97 by a score of 41-13.

Ahhhhh....year one. We've come a long way since those days.

Welcome to all the Elon fans.  I hope you get a chance to make it to Tampa, the city is wonderful with lots to do so plan on staying for more than just the football game.

You're welcome...

The FAU board has a thread about the Big East...didn't read it all, but it sounded like some thought they could join, but that C-USA was more likely.

Please don't forget to offer an invite back to our board...the season is a ways off still, but providing a link that could be bookmarked will help down the road..

The part about FAU joining the Big East is actually quite possible. A friend of mine just transferred back home to FAU from USF and he said there are talks and articles about them joining up. I think it could get done in a couple years.

There is very little chance that FAU/FIU will be in the BE and almost no chance it will happen in the next couple of years.  Anything is possible, but I would say FAU/FIU joining the BE is about as likely as UF or ND joing the Sun Belt (again, anything is possible).

The BE is not looking to expand anytime soon.  Why would they?  If they (or any other BCS conference) decided to expand, there is a long list of teams that would be ahead of FIU/FAU.  If I recall correctly, neither of those schools have enough attendance to even meet the D1 requirement.

Honestly, anything less than a 21+ point victory against Elon will be a disappointment.  Either you're moving forward or moving back.  We've gone to two bowl games in the past two years.  In order to consider us moving forward is to blow Elon out.

No offense to the Elon fans, just my opinion on where we need to be as a program.

I poked around the Elon board a little bit, if there is any of you who wanna talk a little smack, I'd like to know about it.     Part of my football tradition is bashing our opponents (in good fun of course).

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
