USF Spring Game Set For Saturday Night At Raymond James

TAMPA, FLA. (April 9, 2007) -- How much has USF quarterback Matt Grothe progressed from his amazing rookie season in 2006? Are Mike Ford and Aston Samuels pushing Ben Williams and Ricky Ponton at running back? Who will replace linebackers Stephen Nicholas and Pat St. Louis? USF fans can come find some answers Saturday, April 14 when USF conducts its Spring Game at 7 p.m. in Raymond James Stadium.

Prior to the game, fans interested in purchasing new season tickets may arrive at 5 p.m. to select seats for the 2007 season. Gates will open for general admission seating in the West Side sections 106-115 at 6 p.m. with kick off scheduled for 7 p.m.

While seating is complimentary, a ticket is necessary for admission and they may be picked up in advance during normal business hours at the Sun Dome Box Office or at Raymond James Stadium on the evening of the game.

Parking in lots 5, 6D and 7 (south of the stadium) will be free also.

I hate night spring games, now that it's during the Lightning game it's could be a rough crowd.

Unfortunatley I had planned on making it down from Ohio, but I does not look like I'll have the time. I'll save days off for the fall.

Ouch, the Lightning game might have an effect on attendance.  At least the parking is free for this game.  Can't beat free tickets and free parking!!

Screw the lightning!  What would you rather watch, a team that goes down 6-0 against the freaking Panthers by 5 minutes into the 2nd?  Or a game where USF is GUARANTEED to win?   ;D

Tough call......a meaningless spring football game or a playoff hockey game.  But we're in Hockey Bay aren't we??   :o

That being said, I'll be at RayJay.............

The Lightning are playing a

ROAD GAME

that night.  Bring a radio, listen to hockey and watch football... what could be better than that??

It's an away game at least.  I am a die hard Lightning season ticket holder, but will be DVR'ing the Lightning game.  Hopefully nobody comes up and shouts out the score while I'm there!!!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
