TIMEOUT FOR T.O.: Toward the end of practice, backup quarterback Grant Gregory threw a 5-yard touchdown to receiver Amp Hill. Hill, in celebration, pulled a Sharpie out of his sock and re-enacted receiver Terrell Owens' famous autographing of a football after a touchdown.

Though coach Jim Leavitt declined to comment, Hill's punishment was to sit out the rest of the session.

why would he do that?

Hey Amp...Remember when you dropped the 2 point conversion last year?  Yeah, you can leave the sharpie and any other arrogance you may have at home.

It's a spring practice/scrimmage that was closed to the public.  I'm sure he was just trying to have a little fun in the confines of the team.  If he did it during a game (or even the spring game), I'd say he was being a showboat.  But practice.....no big deal.

This is a non-issue. Players need to stay loose.

The were many other reasons why we lost that game to Rutgers. You can't pin it on Hill alone.

don't forget the fact that he had a defender all over him for that 2-point conversion, and it was a pass that shouldn't have been thrown to him

Maybe it wasn't supposed to have been thrown by him, but it WAS supposed to be caught by him.

yeah allowing 200yds rushing to a RB usually doesnt lead to winning many games.  Yes it was a huge drop but some 3rd and short stops could have REALLY changed the way that game went.  The game was lost as a team not by an individual.
