I don't think the Spring Game will answer any questions regarding Ford.  The Fall will be when he makes his move to the top of the Depth Chart.

I read that he's still recovering, but is practicing.  Apparently he is nowhere near where he was last year.

Why in the world would Leavitt hand the starting job to an unproven true freshman? Of course CJL is going to have Ford at number two and make him work for the number one spot all spring and fall. I think what speaks volumes is that Mike Ford is already at number 2, meaning he has moved past everyone but BW on the depth chart. Mike Ford is hungry and will be motivated come the fall.

ponton has fallen pretty far then.  i remember when he was backing up Andre and he looked like he would break Andre's records.

I believe Ford lost a year of eligibility when he went to military school. Therefore redshirting him would only lose another year.
