USF Softball Hosts League Foe Louisville On Saturday

TAMPA, Fla. (April 6, 2007) – The University of South Florida softball team will continue its homestand on Saturday when it hosts league rival Louisville in a doubleheader starting at noon.

Both games of the contest will be broadcast live via internet radio on the USF Press Pass on www.GoUSFBulls.com.

USF (31-17) and Louisville (20-16) each enter the contest on Saturday with a BIG EAST record of 3-1. The matchup will feature the best hitting and pitching teams of the conference, as the Cards have a league-best batting average of .288 and the Bulls have the No. 1 ERA of 1.20.

The Bulls have a slight edge in the all-time series with a record of 14-11, including winning the last series in Louisville on April 15, 2006. The two teams have been league rivals since 2000 when they both joined Conference USA and then moved to the BIG EAST in 2006.

for those that are so inclined, check out the Softball team tomorrow night.  Rumor has, it the Bulls Club will be doing a party in the tent.................
