UCF at USF T-shirts?

I get so jealous when I turn on the TV and see stadiums full of a coordinated student body. I don't like Penn St. but you know you are Beaver Stadium when you see the entire student body in Blue and White. I can imagine that the UCF game will have the most students considering our relationship and close proximity of 'those guys'.

Is there any way that we could some how work with the athletics department to get some Green Shirts made? Maybe some shirt saying something or even just the 'U' or 'USF' - even something that can be a subtle joke like "3". Im sure if 5,000 were made, they wouldn't cost that much per person. Maybe $10 - while the university would need to sacrifice some profit in an effort to get fans involved.

If this were to truly work, planning should start now since this has never happened before. It will raise awareness and give the USF fan a sense of belonging.

Maybe they could send out shirts to season ticket holders first...sell them/give them to the students around campus...sell them at the game for those who fell left out...and get the frats  and other organizations involved. Maybe that dude that bought all the student tickets last year might want to help.

What is your opinion? Given enough time and planning, could this work? What would the shirts say?

thats the classic Penn State 'whiteout'.  

Notre Dame has had 'The Shirt' since the early 80s.  A business student came up with the idea and continues to sell them to this day.  Basically its just one shirt to wear at all this year's football games.  Go to any of their websites and you'll see it listed as, 'The Shirt '05' or whatever the year is.  Lately they have been green in an effort to get everyone in the stadium to wear the same color.  Also, they normally have a saying on them, such as Return To Glory.  I think last year's version simply said 'Tradition'.  By the way, that former student probably sells approximately 200,000 of those shirts yearly.  Not too bad.  I believe most of the profits now go to some charity too.  Brilliant idea.

Sounds like a fine idea. The only problem is funding. They usually sell advertising on the back. Shoot an email over to the Athletics/Marketing department.

You would think wearing green to a USF football game would be a pretty easy thing to do... but, clearly that is not the case.

Maybe I'll draft a proposal this weekend and crunch some numbers? maybe not though, I'm pretty lazy right now.
