USF Press Pass:  Coach Heath on Duemig(15:13)

He stumbled and bumbled through his questions.  He was nowhere near as articulate as Stan Heath.  For someone who makes a living talking on the radio, I expected him to have a plan and a delivery that showed some experience, capability and knowledge.

How's that?   ;D

I agree with the fact that he was not as articulate as he should have been. However, I do believe that he asked great questions that provided CSH with the opportunity to present our program in a very posititve light.

The Big Dog opened by stating that things have brightened up as a result of his hire and that DW couldn't have picked a better time to land Heath and close the deal.

He gave CSH a great opportunity to respond to remarks made by Dicky V, "USF is the most daunting program in the nation." CSh had a great response to this statement.

The Big Dog also explained that there are fans out there but how do you plan to reverse their apathy.

He also asked how SH was going to use the BE as a recruiting tool.

One big complaint about or program is facilities, Duemig gave CSH a great opportunity to shut that down right away. SH sated that it's the same size hoop, same dimensions on the court...

Duemig also asked how CSH was going to keep great local talent LOCAL.

The Big Dog only asked questions that SH could repond to with quality remarks and present our program in a positive light. Sounded great to me!

Along with the D+ for presentation, I will say it was refreshing to hear him interview Heath without slamming everything about the University...I thought in that regard he was amazingly "professional" for lack of a better word.

In any event, it was good to listen to and nice to get some air time - I hope it continues.  It was a good opp for Stan Heath and he ran with it.  Well done coach.

Duemig doesn't slam the program until there's no one in studio to defend it.

Duemig idioms:

1 - Saying, "as far as ______ is concerned"

2 - Saying "from a ______ standpoint"

3 - pluralizing an individual, i.e. 'the Derrick Brookes, the John Lynches, the Warren Sapps'

Repeat these 3 things about 100 times, and mix in some breaks of about 7-9 seconds of dead silence and you have his show.
