Another article in the Oracle

I can appreciate everyones high standards for good journalism but I can also appreciate that I have something new to read about USF every single day.

Eastern Washington U. published their paper every 2 weeks.

The fact that so many people care enough to be outraged by this whole topic is a VERY GOOD THING!

Since I'm boycotting the Oracle, I'm guessing they printed another illogical article/opinion about how we misunderstood them and need to layoff and accept the current situation.

The point she's making is that instead of jumping all over some girl that wears a UF shirt, just support USF on your own and encourage others to do so.  She makes a great point about attending other school functions besides football.  The University Lecture Series had a lot of great speakers this year and should probably have a lot more people attending.  Granted, basketball attendance would go up if we won more, which hopefully we'll do within a few years now, but supporting a school's football team is not the only way to support your school.  

If the football team gets ranked, though, and gets a lot of national attention for several years, I'd expect all those students that have other teams as #1 to be converted.  Instead of huge attendance for UCF games, we'll get huge attendance for Rutgers, Pitt, Louisville, WVU.  Right now most students consider us rivals of UCF still, just like the rest of the nation that confused our 2 schools.  Until then, though, I don't think getting into an uproar about a girl wearing a Gator shirt is a big deal, especially when she said she'd wear the USF shirt if we played the Gators, despite growing up being a Gator fan.  Oh well.

She has been working on the sports desk at the Times for nearly a year. But, then again you wouldn't know that because you just state things without actually doing research or without care.
