The pay scale just shows how much athletes in other sports are overpaid.

Really, if you add in fringe benefits such as per diem, plus the 33,000 for the probably five months (at most) that they work is not that bad of a payday in the grand scheme of it all.

depends on what the definition of overpaid is...

if someone is willing to pay them that much, then that is the fair market value.  The owners are making their money too, despite paying these huge contracts.

she could also get bonuses by making different all star teams and such, plus for each round of the players you make it to, you get extra money.
