I'm quite interested to see what Jesus Verdejo will do in an offence that really gets up the floor.

I agree.  I think that is much more conducive to his style.  He is a great offensive player when the coach is willing to let go of the reigns.  the slow methodical offense of Mac probably was the toughest thing for him to adjust to.

You  might be right, but something tells me that if a guy is affected that much by a "system," he's not that great of a player.

We all had high hopes for Verdejo coming in, but it's looking like he may have been waaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated.

Here's a thought. If we end up using all three scholarships this year, there will only be 1 for next year...

That can't be good if we don't get the team that we need.

that is a good point... perhaps JUCO big men is the best way to go? that only have a year left?

Unless he can pull in a couple quality big men, or tremendous can't miss players in the late period, I'd rather have Stan work his magic for next season with our openings.

He's a proven recruiter and he knows what he has and what he needs to do.  He said he this isn't a wait and see approach, that they are going to make a leap forward this up coming year.  So we will see.

He showed some flashes in that system, but he never seemed comfortable.  He was only a sophomore, so his best is still ahead of us.

Ball handler: Howard and Bozeman (too bad Amarri isn't on the team.  ;D)

Center: Gransberry (backup?)

The rest of the positions are up for grabs and we have a lot of needs.  :(

SF - Aaron Holmes... i'm going to go out on a limb here ;) and say that he'll be on the floor A TON!

Saaka too... he got some valuable minutes as a freshman, and he is a long armed, solid defender, who makes all the hustle plays.   He might end up a 6 man, or a starter, i don't know, but he is going to be a very valuable asset.

Varejo doesn't really fit into Heath's system as much as Bozeman, I think he'll be on the bench.

I used to live in Arkansas and have follow Arkansas basketball since then, so I saw a few games this year.
