Josh Childress and he play the same position? I thought Childress was a SF whose best skill coming out of college was his ability to shoot the 3 ball.

No, they don't play the same position, but ANY injury on the hawks roster affect playing time for the 6-8 men.  Childress was one of their leading scorers... getting a ton of minutes.  Take that away and there is plenty of minutes to go around.
