OK uninformed Hog fan here....can you give me a quick run down on the sleeping giant saying was that said by a former coach etc???? Thanks, btw you guys have a pretty cool board.  I have really enjoyed myself over here the last few days.

The sleeping giant reference refers to UCF's (also known as UCif) coach George O'Leary (also known as O'Liar) saying that the football program there was a sleeping giant. He then proceeded to lose 17 straight before getting lucky and winning a few in 2005. In 2006, the UCiF-ers returned to their losing ways. You should really read up on UCiF, because their delusional fan base thinks they are going to get an invite to the SEC any year now.

(they are the red-headed step-child in the Florida University system).

You should really watch the game in their new stadium vs. Texas on TV. Not only will it be good for a few laughs but you will never see that many people wearing helmets gathered in one place again.
