ABSOLUTELY... no doubt at all.

What worries you?

discipline... this is the 2nd straight coaching change where we are going from one extreme to the other.  SG was loose with his players, Mac ran an extremely tight ship, now Heath might be more like Seth again on that category.  

How do you feel about the men's bball program now?

excited to see what is going to happen.

What would you like to say to AD Woolard?

1. wants the challege, solid, great recuiter, 20 wins twice in sec, chip on

   shoulder

2. he was the best (luck drop this guy in our laps)

3. will he stay beyond 3 years

4. i felt good with crm but tenetive, i am very confident and exhuberant now

5. get more $$$ lined up for facilities and CJL and heath and prado and fenandez and ericson ect. (we got some good coaches across the board)

YES YES and YES.... I liked Pelphrey until Heath was fired

that if Heath cant improve the program nobody can

What worries you?

Will there still be funding for the necessary facility, recruiting, and travel improvements as well as some sorely needed marketing and promotion to herald this new era in Bulls hoops.

How do you feel about the men's bball program now?

Cautious, this is only a step (one GIANT step) on the road to recovery.

Thanks for the time and effort and the complete dedication exhibited throughout this process.

The absolute best thing...it stops the whiners on this board cold.    Of course a new myth is already building.....The we were lucky to get him myth.  I love the darksiders.  There's always something lurking out there.  Maybe they can swarm all over the lack of marketing issue again now.   ;D  Or maybe they can complain about Leavitt not letting the press into practices or something at least.

What 5 things do you like about this hire?

1) USF finally stepped it up and gave some love to the men's bball program. We could have gone for the $2.99 burger deal like in the past... Those scoreboards are going to look great with a winning product on the floor.

2) He's got a great winning-basketball lineage, not to mention that he's been broken in as a head coach at a major program. Experience is everything.

3) Youth and drive: we need that at USF.

4) Marketability: NCAA coaches know and like him; recruits seem to connect well to him; and there's a lot of positive energy around his persona.

5) GATOR-FREE!  8-) Good grief, we would have been up to our ears in lizard droppings with either Pelphrey or Grant!

YES! Every hire is a risk. That said, I think this was the best possible hire given the situation.  

What worries you?

When somebody gets the boot from another institution, there are reasons for that. I hope those things can be overcome at USF. I'm not overly concerned, just somewhat.

How do you feel about the men's bball program now?

Seth took away almost all of my hope in the bball program, and then the last coach killed off the rest.

It's a new era now!  GO BULLS! 8-)

Thank you! You kept your word about USF athletics committing to the men's bball program.

FIRST and for most, the fact that I was wrong about DW, I will say that he wasn't prepared for all the rejections but when "THE RIGHT GUY" did come along he took care of business.

Second, my renewed interest in Men's hoops! I'll be looking to buy season tickets for the first time (as an alumni).

THIRD, recruiting, recruiting & recruiting...what a breath of fresh air he will bring.

FOURTH, a clean slate. The opportunity to look at our program with pride and optimism, as opposed to embarrassment & skepticism.

FITH, the POTENTIAL to now finally compete in the BE!
