Former USF basebull player Ross Gload got a hit and scored a run against the Red Sox in the 8th inning on ESPN. He's playing for the Royals.  Not a huge deal, especially when it is game 1/162, but still cool IMO.

Ross has the opportunity for the first time ever in the majors to get some ABs. Here's hoping he continues to hit the way he's capable of.

Wow, I missed that. I doubt the Royals will be on ESPN many times the rest of the season, so really glad he played well on national tv.
