Sorry, that's not true. With a team like USF - who has been to the NCAA tourney 2 times in a bagazillion years, a guy like Heath is probably the best you can do. However, there ARE coaches out there that turn programs around no matter where they land.

Are you EVER happy?

Jeez, your wife could arrange for Jessica Simpson to hop out of a cake naked for you, and you'd complain that the frosting was vanilla and not chocolate...

And Stan Heath certainly qualifies as that.

I'm so excited about this. I haven't been this excited about USF basketball in like three years. I'm sure I'm not the only one pumped about next season. What a great time to be a Bull.

Not necessarily... but assuming a change was emminent, this is the best result I could have hoped for.

I had already decided I was going to buy two season tickets this year, whether they kept McCullum or not, because it's the first time I felt like I could afford to. I'm so excited about Heath, though, that I may make it four.

Agree. Heath may or may not be able to duplicate and surpass the success he had at UAF but I am a little more comfortable with him because of his recent head coaching experience in a major conference, something most of the other "names" being tossed about didn't have...
