One-on-one, who's the best USF bball player ever?

Semi-serious but you just explained on the other "one on one" topic how a 6' guy can beat a 6'6" guy 1 on 1 so why is it so far fetched?  With a bigger, slower guy playing tight on Reggie at the top of the key to stop his long ball might be a competitive game.  I would also expect a tad more quickness from Reggie with truly healthy legs.  Reggie would definitely would have trouble vs CB, Chucky & Dobras but I think he could compete better than the mentioned big men.  What would be interesting is a 2 on 2 tourney of the best 4-5 Bull guards and paired up with comparable big men.  I think I'd pay a $5-$8 to watch those games.

There is a level of difference.  A smaller guy can beat a much bigger guy if the bigger guy is a slower player, or maybe he just a post-up player with no dribbling. CB was none of those, he was a versatile wing player that could dribble with both hands, and sink the 20ft J.

Now you're talking realistic, a 2on2 tourney would be interesting.  Give me CB and Grier in their hayday against the best of any group of Bulls. I am serious when I say that Bradley was an amazing talent.  The only reason he didn't excel at the NBA level was the fewer teams, deeper talent pool, and he was shafted, went against weaker opponents in college and the NBA didn't spend the requisite time on him to help build up his defensive effort.

Well, to most basketball players, the standard one-on-one game is "Make it - take it, 1 point each to 21, win by two."

With that said, it's simply who's a better offensive player. Defensive players will slow you down, but never stop you totally.

I loved Reggie's play but he was average on defense and didn't really drive to the basket. I would have a hard time seeing him beating some of those other guys that have been mentioned in a game of 1-on-1
