By the way, with all of your criticsms abiut the process Woolard has used, how would you have conducted the search?

Easy...I would of fired RMC last year and signed Huggins to a $650,000-$700,000 year contract. (FYI...Kansas State had to over-pay for his services...because said school is located in Manhanttan, KANSAS! Believe Huggy would of signed with USF...to coach at a school in TAMPA, FL...and oh...and chance to shove it back to all the schools in the BIG EAST...especially Cinci!)

:'(

So you are sad because USF lost out on a chance at a Top 5 recruiting class?

Can't blame ya.

I will say it again, should have got huggins when we had the chance.

And it will be said again, we NEVER had a chance at Huggins coming here.

Guess I don't know the exact reason you're saying that, but if it were purely as a college vs. college scenario of which one would be chosen by Huggins...pretty sad that USF would lose out to Kansas State.

Huggins would be here if we offered him the job

Please provide proof.

You usually don't fire someone until you have a pretty good idea who you are going to replace him with.

Did we just fire mac and they say "Ok, now we have to go find a coach."

That is not a good way to manage the process.

my 2 cents.

Most AD's will tell you that's usually how its done...however, at some schools...it certainly hasn't played out that way.

Most AD's will tell you that's how they'd LIKE it to be done. It rarely plays out that way...

It actually plays out that way a lot of times.

Rarely ..... in major college programs.

Here's proof:

A) He was unemployed

B) He was a Coach of a program in the Big East

C) Would of had a chance to play his former team at least ONCE every year

D) Probably the best proof: He ended up taking the only real offer he got last year for a school located in the wasteland of AMERICAN: MANHANTTAN, KANSAS!

Remember, schools can't use private jets to fly in recruits anymore...and if anyone has ever tried to fly into small towns located in Kansas (most KSU recruits end up flying into KC...and then has a 120-150 min drive out to Manhattan).

If Huggins would accept a job WAY OUT THERE...he certainly would of love the chance to stay coaching/recruiting in the Big East...oh...and be located in a large metro area...just like he had at Cinci.

While you posted several facts, none of those in any way can be presented as proof.

Do you have proof that the Earth will see the sun rise tomorrow AM?

I mean..chances look REALLY GOOD that it will..but is there any real guarantee?

Yes, it's a statistical certainty.  I have thousands of years of data to support that assertion.

The supposedly "best proof" is not fact .... unless you have been in conctact with Huggy's agent. There's no way to know if that was the only real offer he got.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
