A new low for the lame journalist named Brett McMurphy.   Ironically, I contacted the Miami Herald, the Charlotte Observer and the Lakeland Ledger...both declined interest in pursuing him for beat writer positions currently open.  Too bad.

The Temple Terrace News has also quashed the rumor of him coming there.... They do have interest in Fennelly, though.

as an Obit writer?

That's not surprising since they only post the responses that they want up there. I sent a very critical response to Brett one time and it was never posted.

At least it's not confined to USF coverage... the entire Tribune sports department is a cesspool of crap.
