Tampa Tribune strikes again

The Tampa Tribune has this circulating around the internet now (Taken from SI.COM):

"At the 2003 Final Four when Winthrop coach Gregg Marshall was introduced to a reporter, he asked how he could get in the mix for the South Florida job. Marshall was never contacted by then-USF athletic director Lee Roy Selmon. Now the question is will he return to Tampa to become USF's next coach or remain with Winthrop?

On the Trib's page it is noted that it was a "Tampa Tribune reporter".

I wonder if the nameless Tampa Tribune reporter told Marshall the way out of the brown paper bag was to call Lee Roy Selmon at USF.  

It just doesn't stop does it?
