In anticipation of the upcoming Spring Game, as well as some other interesting happening that might occur fairly soon, I've given MattGrothe.com a digital version of "Spring Cleaning".

The site now features:

• A new look centered on the traditional Green and Gold - brighter and sleeker with far less black
  
• ***NEW VIDEO CLIP*** PapaJohns.com Bowl!
  
• New logos and branding
  
• Updated navigation system that splits sections by year (e.g., 2006 Multimedia, 2007 Multimedia, etc.)
  
• Direct link to USF Football Season Ticket information
  
• Updated biographical content for Matt
  
• A new Milestones page
  
• Updated and expanded site/contact information
  
• Links to partners and supporters
  

If you wouldn't mind, please give the site a test drive and PM me with any issues you encounter.  Word is that a substantial amount of traffic will be hitting the site early next week, and I'd like to make sure the house is in order, so to speak.

Well, due to an unprecedented spam attack, I lost the activity in the forums from before the Bowl Game.  In the process of upgrading the registration requirements to keep the spammers out, we lost  the database.

Feel free to drop in and leave a few comments, though!  We need new blood!

What I meant by investment was more along the lines of 3 or so years from now when Matt wins the heisman and goes in the first round, and fans are buzzing you will have a nice established site and a lot of self satisfaction.

I've directed many of my friends from WA State to the site and they are amazed.

I know everyone appreciates MG, but c'mon winning the heisman??  That is a huge stretch.  I'd be surprised if USF ever has a guy invited to NYC for the Heisman Ceremony in my lifetime.  No knock on Matt, but in order for a player to get invited from a school like USF, he'd have to put up bigger numbers than players at larger schools (USC, ND, Texas, etc).  Take for instance Colt McCoy at Texas.  If he throws for 35 TDs, Matt would have to throw for 45 or so.  People won't want to hear it but its the truth.
