smazza believes in immediate gratification/perfection and if that doesn't happen, it's a result of incompetence.

What he fails to realize is that doing things the right/best way sometimes takes time.

I agree with smazza, I can't believe wollard hasn't hired huggins yet!  we all know huggins wants this job.  by now he should have at least hired roy williams or bob knight!

while wollard is at it, he should fire leavitt (cause he's done a horrible job here), hire barry switzer, bring back tom landry from the dead and hire him as assistant coach!

Yeah,  you're right, let's just go out and hire a guy simply because of his reputation.  Woolard is just wasting everyone's time and money actually interviewing people.  I mean c'mon now, a reputation created a long time ago certainly is a lot more important than actually hearing a coach's recruiting methods and future vision for our particular program and situation.  From now on we probably could just eliminate Woolard's salary and toss that into the coach's pool.  We can just turn on ESPN and let the reporters hire our next coach.  If basing things simply on a reputation is what you guys are looking fo then that's what you will get.

Geez, let's just see how this plays out. probably the only person with any concrete information about who Woolard is targeting and talking to is probably Woolard himself at this point.

i always thought it was wollard or maybe i never payed attention

It's Woolard. My question was a sarcastic one.

I think smazza is jumping the gun a bit by say Woolard is "asleep at the wheel". No one in the media knows exactly what is going and I am perfectly fine with DW being silent about the job search.

new mexico and minnesota got job done

usf needs a name coach to recruit

a great coach without talented players is just a coach

Gregg Marshall is a name. Apparently he has done something right over the past 10 seasons. It's hard to maintain the success level in a minor conference that Marshall has at Winthrop, so obviously he can recruit well. Now imagine how much better he can recruit using our conference affiliation, great location, and increasing budget.

you need to see how the better AD's operate like minnesota and new mexico

wollard is a fence sitter that cant makie a decision unless it is forced on him

wollard is reactive not proactive

Both of hired coaches that many felt were about to be fired.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
