Interest in Brevard or Volusia Alumni Chapter?

I know dabull80 and bullo12 have stated interest in Brevard ... is there anyone else on the board from the Brevard or Volusia areas that would be interested in forming an Alumni chapter?

Why do I ask?  Well, being the squeaky wheel here in Orlando has gotten me invited to the Board of Directors Annual Meeting of Members here in Orlando, June 12th.

Per the alumni website...

USF Alumni Association members are invited to attend the Board of Directors Annual Meeting of Members. At the meeting, Board Elections will be held and initiatives for 2005 will be discussed.

I think the 'jump start' of a Brevard and a Volusia chapter might be a doable thing.  I am willing to help out whomever takes the lead on getting this going.

You let me know if there is A REAL INTEREST  from the alumni association to start these chapters.  Personally I do not think there is.

Real interest in doing stuff comes from Alumni, not the association.

That is why two friends and I made the trip out to Melbourne in April.

Think what you want about the association, we have e-mailed back and forth about it.  

Posts to the message board are easy, getting out and doing the work is the hard part.  And no, it is not all fun.

But walking into my Beefs and seeing a USF pendant, a football jersey and a football helmet - that is worth something.

Hey I volunteered to call alumni in the area and asked for a list....And was not provided a list.  I was PERSONALLY told the Alumni Association DID NOT WANT a Brevard chapter.  If we wanted to join the Orlando Chapter we could.

With that type of attitude from the Alumni Association, they can't place where the sun doesn't shine.

Bitter...yep sure am...I make an effort and AM told that.  Screw em...I don't need that crap.  

WHEN I SEE A REAL EFFORT FROM THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TO REALLY WANT A CHAPTER IN BREVARD COUNTY I WILL ASSIST IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE.  THUS FAR THEY HAVE YET TO PROVE IT TO ME.

I will pass your comments along and see if I get a response back from the association.  Again, they were unresponsive to me until some personnel changes were made.

There are always other options. . . Bull Backers, USF Bulls Club, etc. . . .  I am not twisting arms here, I am just seeing if folks are interested.
