ET..why suprised.  Are you a Public Enemy fan?  

Don't Believe the Hype?  The guy is the most heralded recruit in our history...of course everyone expects him to be the man already.  I voted for Aston just to skew the numbers.

What surprised me is that 2nd place was Williams.

I think it will be a battle between Ford & Samuels.

I think Williams is getting the benefit of the doubt because 1) he is the incumbent starter, and 2) a hell of a blocker, and 3) the bowl game MVP.

Certainly he has earned the right to be in the conversation and 2nd place isn't that surprising seeing that samuels hasn't played a down yet and isn't as heralded as Ford.   But I've heard nothing but good things about both Ford and Samuels.  We should have a good race for both first and second string.  I expect Ford to be #1, and either of the other two could be #2.  And Ponton could be a #2 if he keeps his head on straight, or he could follow the route of chambers/julmiste.

Ohh!  Got it...they show BW as #1 on the spring 2-deep and Aston #2

Mike Ford may be "da man", but remember that Carlton Hill and Courtney Denson were also both heralded when they came to USF.

I voted for Ponton.  He'll be back into shape and get the start fa sho.

My guess is that they want him to be "hungry" for the position and therefore not being slotted in the 1 deep group will make him fight for it.

SOFAKING right about that !

I would expect him to be a FB also ... depending on how well Kelly picks things up. Watching 2006 game tapes, he really helped alot of passes from his blocking for Grothe.
