I really want Woolard to consider contacting Coach Lowery of Southern Illinois University. I know he is a mid-west guy but maybe he would be interested in coaching in the Big East.

I read some article today about how they are trying real hard to lock him down, plus he is an SIU alum and his family are very happy in Carbondale.  Money talks though.  I think he's being considered by "more established" programs.

the guy has done nothing but win.. .... and I can't imagine he would risk all the chips and take this job if he didn't think he could win here.

There is a difference between him and the other guys we hired.

Marshall is capable of getting a really good job down the road, but wants a shot at the big dogs in the Big East.

I don't think Greenberg and Mac had a ton of options.

I think we're now entering the 2nd tier young coaches, which makes it mighty risky. But I'm sure our AD has a plan. Let's see what names surface in a few days. Whoever comes to Tampa for the next visit will tell us the direction of our hiring, as in the level of candidate.

--By the way, I just voted for my sentimental favorite, Bobby Lutz.
