Bulls Targeting Pelphrey?

Forgot to mention another thing.  Chances are Pelphrey doesn't make the move no matter how much we offer him anyway.  I forgot, rumor here is he's already been approached by boosters from Kentucky that have him stepping in in 2 years when Tubby leaves.  Another rumor is boosters from Kentucky are kicking in some money to keep Pelphrey here at South Alabama bc a timeline is already in place.  That's why he didn't take the Ole Miss job.  His wife loves Mobile and if he's going to move, it's gotta be for either A) MUCH MORE or Kentucky.

The long and the short is Pelphrey is not a long term fix for USF.  Give him 5 years and yeah, he'd build us into a solid program, but Tubby will be gone before then and then he's gone.  So it's not the right move when you're trying to get out of the basement.
