I would like to mention that after Matt exited the game with an injury, none of the WRs had much of a game.

Doug...

No doubt.  The purpose of my posts above was to question the validity of windbane's argument that Amarri's worth was proven in the bowl game last year.

That was an odd game to pick to argue in favor of Amarri's value to this team.

My opinion (yes, opinion) is that Amarri could be a whole lot more consistent if he really wanted to be.  He's had one or two great games, and in the rest he's just been average to non-existent.  He'd better step it up in his senior season if he wants to see much P.T. since we have a boatload of tall, fast receivers.

MAB, if you point was pasta it would prolly stick to the wall.  Amarri is not an all conference WR but I believe losing him would be more negative than positive.  Any player that can be a conference player of the week 2-3 times in their carreer definitely has value.

Guys, I'd wouldn't normally address this but since there continues to be speculation: I think it's a joke. Talked to Amarri's high school coach yesterday just to check, and he has plans to visit Amarri and Mike Ford at practice next week, has no reason to think Amarri would want to leave. I talked with Amarri at USF's pro day last week, and it was business as usual.

Amari is one of the few football players that I see supporting other sports. Have seen him at baseball, womens basketball, and mens basketball games. I saw this on his facebook page a few days ago and knew it would be a bad idea to post it here. He is a college student trying to get a reaction out of people. He use to joke around about getting married. The way you guys are talking about this guy is crazy.

Was it the best joke? No, I think it was in poor taste. But guys chill out.

Amari is a true Bull, that helped us get to a bowl game. This guy has been great for the program. I would be shocked if he went anywhere.

Let's not forget, about a month ago Amarri posted on his facebook page that he was married.

Yeah, well, we've got a band director already.

I am not arguing with any of you guys who are accentuating Amarri's pluses.  I think he can be a key contributor.  I still say he could be better, though.

All I'm saying is that Windbane's point is crappy.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
