Do they go off into the sunset with the head coach, or do they wait until the new hire is made to know about their future?

They're gone just like McCullum I would think because the new coach will want to bring in his own staff

yea, its almost un-heard of for a new coach to keep assistants from the old staff.  usually only when the new head coach was promoted from assistant himself.
