From what I've read, Elon has a monster back in the Jim Brown mold, so it could be a tough game.

Oops, my mistake, USF has a monster back in the Jim Brown mold now.  Welcome Mike Ford.......... :o

Wow, look at who we lost to last year and nearly lost too.

My god, I'm glad you have that kind of optimism, I wish I could have half of it.

It sucks being a realist.

I guess I shouldn't even show up for the game right?

Our guys are more talented through the entire roster and WHEN each player plays his best, Elon will suffer ! The 2006 team was a much different team the first two games and the last 2 games. The 2007 team will be much better than the 2006 team was at the end.

And of course you need to show up for the WIN !

This will be a great opportunity to see most of our BULLS !

Go BULLS !!!  [smiley=GoBulls.gif]

I'm actually looking forward to seeing the Elon game.  I want to see if we can actually blow one of these teams away.  ...

1997 L 13-41

1998 W 35-7

Now I am sure that Elon has not improved that much in the past 10 years, but the 2007 USF team is the best we''ll(we've) see(n).

...When's the last time we beat a team by more than 35-40?

Last year(2006) had some close ... McNeese 41-10 (31 points) & UConn 38-16 (22 points)

2005 FAMU 37-3 (34 points) & L'ville 45-14 (31 points)

2003 was probably the last 1AA hammering, Charleston So. 55-7 (48 points)

2002 FAU 51-10 & Charleston So. 56-6

2001 Houston 45-6

But history has nothing to do with the 2007 Team !

Go BULLS !!!  [smiley=GoBulls.gif]

I don't believe in looking past anyone.

We need to take EVERY team we beat as seriously as the next.

what we need to do is blow them out and get everyone ready for a auburn.  i dont think the team will look past the FIRST GAME of the season with the players fighting for playing time.  the vets will remember last year's start as well.

Exactly windbane ... I personally am looking past the game and have no doubt the players will NOT be. Players will be fighting for positions with our talent being the best ever. Elon will suffer!

ET it was a joke man.

I show up to every game and I take about 2 road trips a season.

However, I never, ever, trivialize a matchup. I find it impossible, FOR MYSELF, to "look past" a team. That is why I do go to a lot of the games

And I understand not looking past Elon ... I am just so confident in this team's ability that I am seeing it as a scrimmage ... I expected it also though against McNeese & FIU in 2006  :P

Just expecting this team to be MUCH better !
