Whose gonna be on the 2004 Football Poster?

First, you can probably guarantee that Stephen Nicholas will start getting put on almost any USF print.  He was a third team freshmen All-American last year and its the duty of the University to start promoting him now that his name is on the minds of voters.  It could garner him, and USF more national recognition if he continues to improve.

Herron a pro talent?  I don't know about that, the kid has trouble getting his weight over 280lbs.  Not many teams will look kindly at an OL under 300lbs, he's a solid center, but he had a tough season last year.  Last year we lost our best interior blocker at the beginning of the season, Shelly Houston.  The guards and center never recovered and after the Army game it is no surprise our interior blocking suffered.  I am hopeful that with Walker, and a few others the staff will find another big guard that can dominate the interior.  That will go a long way toward helping our offense.

As for a 1000 yard rusher, again it was overblown because of our style, and the fact we platooned so many RB's.  For that to happen we need one shining star at RB which we haven't had since Dyral McMillan.  We also need better, bigger interior blockers, which we haven't had for awhile.  The talent is there or coming we just need to hope it develops.
