But lets also look at the 2007 roster with an improved RB stable.

The team that we say the last 3 games of 2006 will look quite similar to what we may very well have in 2007, but with better depth.

2006 had some serious youth and those first 5 game showed it.

I see upgrades(with depth) at every position for 2007, except RB, and both Kickers. I have confidence in the RB position being better, and hopefully with Ford's talent.

^ok but this same team also looked like crap at L'ville

not sure just by beating wvu i would consider us road warriors

just being realistic

also not sold on our kicking game - inparticular punting game FG kicking is hit or miss

not sure if this team is ready to win every game they should win....of course i hope they are but....

Last 2 games were on the road, with our road record, I will consider a neutral site  ;)

I just BULieve that with a season under the belt of all these guys and the new guys coming in, we should see a big difference.

Need to beat Elon and UCF easily.

Auburn will be tough.

UNC & FAU should be as easy as the first 2.

HOME: All 3 were tough in 2006, but BULLieve we will have strong atendance; L'ville & WVU should take care of itself and Cincy most likely will be HomeComing. The guys will be primed to continue the Home winning streak, 3 games (and hopefully 6 games before conf. starts).

AWAY: Feel we are better than CT & 'cuse and depends on what Pitt team shows up, but feel good - of course. Teel & Rice looked strong and will be a real test for our D.

^ Auburn will be more than tough

We have yet to prove we can win against a top (non conf) team on the road

we took the wvu crowd out early which was very important

believe we will be improved just not sold we will automatically be a top the BE next yr

again just being realistic

uconn and cuse will be improved  next yr

pitt has a load of talent just not good coaching

RU could be a late season thurs night game

even at home it will be tough to beat both lville and wvu

other than auburn i also believe we will win the other 4 non conf games

my gut says 9-3 or 10-2 next season

i think we lose at auburn and at least one BE game

hope I'm wrong and we win them all

Can't dispute your thinking ... I just see:

Grothe being a much better QB

Better production from WR's

Hoping for a better RB crew, which isn't asking for much.

Our O-Line will be better if healthy, nothing great - unless Coach frey really impresses us  8-)

I think overall, our Defense will be MUCH better !

WVU and UL will still be great.  Rutgers loses some people (not sure how many WVU and UL lose) but still keep ray rice for hopefully just 1 more year (heh).  that said, I think USF's improvement will make us capable of beating all 3.  will we?  well, those 3 teams didn't this year, so we might not need to in order to win the big east.  if we did go undefeated we would be in the national title unless 2 other teams were undefeated.  remember, rutgers had a very good shot at it this year if they kept winning.

Couple things I have to say as the new year begins... 1 we are actually discussing a realistic shot at a BCS game as well as a very distant shot at a national title game.  2 No matter what your expectations road wins against Auburn, and Rutgers and home wins against WV and Louisville would be plenty to put us in the conversation for a bid at the national title.  Likely, not really that is a big task; however, I believe the most important part of a team are the lines.  Our D-line is flat out one of the fastest units in the NATION.  Not the big east but the nation.. and with an offseason to improve I cant wait to see what we look like next year.  Ford is likely to get approval and with a workhorse Grothe will only improve, possitive thoughts and big time attendance are key to the Ville and WV games we must put 45 thousand plus BULLS fans in the house for those games.  I think the season will be made or broken at Auburn, if we take them down the bulls will go into the Big East schedule as a different unit.  07' will be the year of the Bull I am ready to hit the parking lot and tailgate RIGHT NOW.
