Yes and no.  Short term he'd make a little less money, if all the reports are correct.  But it looks like he'd have guaranteed money for 10 years instead of three.  That $40mil guaranteed vs about $14mil guaranteed.  That's a mighty big difference with the instability of the NFL.  Then add in the much lower stress level and much less hours he'd be working.  Even with 'Bama being a high pressure job by college standards, it's way lower than any NFL job.

I think I've convinced myself to take the Alabama job.   ;D

that is true, you make good points.  i'm still hoping he keeps the job at miami, though.  if he is successful the next few years in the NFL, he could get an even better contract.  but as you say, the NFL is riskier than college...except at alabama.  they wouldnt have to give him the full $40 mil if they fired him for losing to auburn would they?  i'm not sure how that works.  i know that if another team hired him they have to pay a buyout, but is that the same way it works for firing?

I didn't realize that scout.com was the official spokesman (site) for USF and USF Athletics.

USF can't comment about a recruit until after signing day but I might be wrong about that.

I believe it would be an NCAA violation for anyone associated w/ USF to comment on a specific recruit who has not signed a letter of intent/ (or possibly in this case, enrolled in school yet).

couple more weeks we will know, until then i think everyone just needs to sit back, relax, and let our coaching staff deal with the recruiting.,

If he enrolled in USF, wouldn't that be a matter of public record?  If I'm not mistaken spring semester begins this coming Monday... Jan 8th.
