I've been debating on whether:

A) We just went into a time-eating mode once PJ had to take over as Leavitt said

ECU made excellent adjustments and we wouldn't have been able to score with either QB as ECU believes

C) Only Grothe was capable of leading our offense to TDs against the ECU D

A... PJ threw 8 times.

He played part of the 2nd qtr. and the whole second half.

No doubt we were playing conservatively, as we should have been.  I'm sure we would have opened it up a bit more had Grothe still been playing, but probably not much.  I know ECU moved the ball some, but it seemed like we could have played another half of football without giving up a TD.  No need to try risky pass plays.
