Seriously, is there any legal way to get out of that contract? That is just ridiculous. I wish Greg would write a story that would further expose the Evil Glazers on how they just fleece USF.

What a shame... does anyone have like $40M to donate to a OCS right now?  That article pissed me off...

Guys, the citizens voted for it. They handed the whole stadium to Malcolm Glazer to keep his NFL team from running to LA or Osceola County. It's in the contract and nothing you do is going to change it.

You could get every commissioner kicked out of their seat and the Bucs would sue like no tomorrow because of the contract they have.

As for the other NFL team questions. Some do, the Arizona Cardinals just took it to the city of Glendale from what I've heard. There are other situations.

it is funny how everyone is so quick to refer to malcom as "evil"

the man is one name and one name only...."smart"

and we have to thank him as USF fans.  if it wasnt for him we would be playing in the Old Bucs stadium and football in tampa would be a dead issue just like it is in Orlando.

i doubt we would have an OCS stadium under construction right now like UCF does.

yea we dont make money off of our own home games and that sucks, but come on, glazers are smart businessmen.

12 mil for a indoor practice stadium is stupid.  this wont pass.  no way.

but come on, glazers saved football in tampa.  plain and simple...ask LA if they wish they gave Al Davis the same deal.

they would of said yes 100 million times by now.

Thanx ? Maybe, just maybe if the Bucs left, USF would have more fans.

I doubt it also and love the digs we have now. And sure the corp. tix we sell, would be tougher than now. But "maybe" a stadium would have started  ;)

They saved the NFL in Tampa ... and it doesn't seem like L.A. is too worried about the NFL ... how long has it been ?

But Botom Line, the people voted for it. The deal with teh devil  ;) Too bad it can't come up for a revote  ;)

LA isnt concerned with it?  i know you are below the equator but come on.

LA has done everything but change the hollywood sign to NFL in order to get a team back.

tampa would be in trouble if the bucs left back in 97.  look at how much the crime rate has dropped.  and for those that think it has nothing to do with one another....

channelside would of never been built if rayjay stadium didnt go up.

international mall wouldnt exsist....

etc

Seems I get a better internet connection down here than you  ;)

;D

Done everything?, but "show me the money" ... it's been over a decade and they've had many chances.

Your other points are laughable  ;D

Of course the taxpayers will build it...  They're stupid.  Before they voted to pay for that little troll's stadium, the taxpayers were asked for taxes to help out the F.D. and the P.D. which of course, they voted against.   Sure their houses will burn down, but hey, they can go watch a crappy team lose.

Except approve public funding for a new stadium...

It's not LA who wants it so bad, it's the NFL.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
