Jim...remind me to put you in for an award.

I'd like to say the numbers shock and surprise me,

but...well...lies make baby Jesus cry.  ;)

The thing is, we tend to believe that we - on this board -

speak for the majority of USFers and that we are an

accurate barometer of what the average student and

alumni feels and thinks.  As the numbers (and common

sense) bear out, that is not the case.

And the fine folks at Fowler Avenue are aware of this.

They're professionals who pilot the ship, so it's not like

they've never heard of a television commercial, a

billboard, or a radio ad. They're fully aware of those

numbers, and plan accordingly. Don't throw good money

after bad, given that there is a limited supply of that

money to begin with!

Once some of things things turn around, the adjustments

will be made by those in charge. And don't think you can

FORCE people to like sports, follow USF or wear USF attaire.

We still have miles to go to fully shake the Drive-Thru-U

perception.

- Only 7% list sports as their most memorable USF experience (21% say friends, 14% say instructors)

- 6% has the strongest affiliation with USF athletics, 40% with their major/department

- 35% think that USF is mediocre

- 59% have NEVER attended an athletic event

- 17% are not interested in EVER attending an athletic event (64% of those do not like sports, 26% don't have time for sports)

- 26% are not interested in joining Alumni for athletic events

There is a bright spot in the survey report.  57% report regularly wearing USF clothing (unless there was a dummy answer like n/a, what is USF clothing?, "I don't know, my mama dresses me", etc.).  With our numbers, that is a lot of people.  Now, people wouldn't buy and wear it regularly if it didn't mean something to them to be identified with the university.  So, I am going to regard that as a bright spot.

Again, it all comes down to winning on the field.  Win, and you will have 60 thousand swearing they have never missed a game.

Jim

There are peopl that have posted they have seats 31,32. So I think its safe to say that there are about 32 seats per row.

According to another thread USF has sold sections 33 and 34 starting in row 20. The free students are seating in first 7 rows in sections 32,33,34.

Sectiuon 35 as i said was half so started in row 35 and was sold out

so

Section 35= 35 x32= 1120

Section 34= 50x32= 1600

section 33= 40x32=1280

Thats 4,000 right there without counting the 500 student tickets nor the 150 companion tickets they bought that were included in their seating.

So no the 4400 cant include band, athletic Dept people etc.

;D

LOL!!!

Do you have proof that USF sold every single tix...in every single row...in every single section?

Again...as another poster (maybe from Athletics or the band...or ask anyone from FSU, UF, Miami Athletics, etc...), official school tix ARE included in your bowl allotment...and are counted as SOLD.

Listen you little gnat in reality USF will sell 10,000 tickets and so will ECU because the Bowl mndates that.

So now run back on your board and talk about your high paying coaches and how they CANT get to a Bowl game.

I agree about contacting graduates.  For instance I graduate in May.  I would like to see a letter/postcard from the alumni association and in it/attached to it, a form about usf season tickets.

exactly!

it should be in your diploma package!

Just keep in mind Hauling Bull (or cee, whatever your name is), that bowl games are ALWAYS played during the holidays.  So, you'll never be going to a bowl game, and should never discuss any negatives of bowl game attendance since you refuse to attend.

Take your head out of your butt Mike,  I was in Charlotte for the Care Care Bowl...We bought our tickets the very first morning they went on sale...so STFU.

I realize that you have a hard time comprehending that to some people FAMILY & CHRISTMAS IS MORE IMPORTANT than football...I truly feel sorry for you.

I realize that you have a hard time comprehending that to some people football can be accomodated as well as family.  I truly feel sorry for you, since you obviously don't understand that the football game is two days before the holiday and you can get home on Xmas Eve.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
